Dr. Randhawa, affectionately known as “Dr. R,” brings over 27 years of veterinary experience to the Chicago suburbs. A proud graduate of Punjab Agricultural University in India and later Tuskegee University in Alabama, Dr. R combines education with compassion for pets and their families.
He has a strong interest for soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, as well as emergency care—always striving to provide the highest level of medical attention for his patients. When he’s not in the clinic, you’re most likely to find him perfecting his swing on the golf course!
New Leaf Animal Hospital marks the fourth clinic Dr. Randhawa has owned, and he’s thrilled to now be serving the Bartlett community and surrounding areas with the same dedication and care he’s known for.

Meet Erika – Our Practice Manager!
This year marks 13 years that Erika and Dr. Randhawa have worked together. She has been an essential part of the team, helping launch and manage his Elgin clinic from the ground up back in 2012.
Erika is deeply passionate about animal welfare and strives to provide resources to pet owners in need—and to the animals that rely on us. She dedicates much of her time outside of work to rescue efforts and is on the board with CARF (Critical Animal Relief Foundation), a cat rescue based in Chicago. Over the years, she has fostered hundreds of cats and dogs, and has also taken in horses and even wildlife in need.
At home, Erika cares for four horses, one mule, and several dogs and cats. When she’s not riding, she enjoys hiking, spending time with friends, and being outdoors as much as possible.

Introducing our lead technician Victoria, a passionate and experienced veterinary technician with a well-rounded background in both small animal and equine medicine. Victoria earned her Veterinary Technician degree from Fox College in 2024 and is currently preparing to take the VTNE to become certified. Her journey in the veterinary field began when she was just 16 years old, and she's proudly worked her way up from kennel assistant to technician — and now into her current role as Veterinary Technician Lead.
Victoria is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every patient small or large, and loves being part of a team that shares the same passion for animals and medicine.
When not at the clinic, she's likely outdoors on an adventure with her two dogs, Milo and Rex, or relaxing at home with her two cats, Lilo and Nala. She also has a deep love for horses and often spends her free time riding or volunteering at Illinois equine humane center. Life is all about balance, and when she's not with animals, she enjoys exploring new hobbies — her latest passion is learning to line dance!
Victoria believes in living life to the fullest and bringing positive energy to everything she does — both in and out of the clinic.

Before joining the world of veterinary medicine, Emilia pursued a career in real estate and even earned her broker’s license—something she still puts to use from time to time. But her heart has always belonged to animals, and for the past four years, she’s been a dedicated veterinary technician, providing compassionate care to every pet she meets.
Emilia’s love for animals started early—she grew up surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes, from hamsters and guinea pigs to dogs and cats. That lifelong bond with animals, along with her gentle nature, makes her a calming presence for both pets and their people.
At home, Emilia shares her life with her boyfriend and their sweet cat, Penelope. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, traveling, and just about anything outdoors. A few of her favorite things? Christmas time and country music!
